SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting Senior Managing Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and serve as an individual contributor for SAP implementation services across North America.
• Drive proposal development, ensure quality delivery, provide thought leadership, and maintain team utilization to grow project revenue.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, including business processes, navigation, configuration, and integration with other modules.
• Lead practitioners in developing and maintaining configuration and functional design documents, and support role-based profile changes.
• Advise client executives on the strategic benefits of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) within broader Finance Transformation initiatives.
• Support sales activities by assisting with scoping, solutioning, program planning, and RFP responses for SAP and Finance Transformation.
• Shape proposals, present at client orals, and provide professional leadership to grow the practice and capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) consultant with integration expertise in SD.
• Ability to articulate business requirements and leading practices for IFRS15, IFRS16, ASC 606, ASC842, and related standards.
• Experience solutioning integration with Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and Revenue Recognition (RAR).
• Hands-on experience with:
  • SD-based Revenue Recognition
  • RAR Classic Contract Management (CCM)
  • RAR Optimized Contract Management (OCM)
• Experience creating Process Design Documents (PDDs) based on leading practices, business requirements, process flows, WRICEF requirements, and system controls.
• Successful conversions to S/4HANA Revenue Recognition OCM, including writing design documents (WRICEF Functional Spec) from ECC (with or without SD-Rev Rec) and collaborating with developers.
• Experience solutioning Revenue Accounting for standalone and bundled sales offers, including:
  • Products (one-time sales, recurring sales, usage-based models)
  • Services/Intellectual Property (warranty, repair, access, training, royalties)
  • Software (On Prem, SaaS, credit-based, post or pre-paid)
• Experience implementing Revenue Accounting solutions in Medical Devices, High Tech, or Utilities industries with asset-based sales models, including consumable/usage scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing leading practices for:
  • Revenue Recognition integrated from Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM)
  • Revenue Recognition integrated to Contract Accounting (FI-CA)
  • Revenue, Cost, and Margin reporting (G/L and Margin Analysis) for bundled offerings.
