Job Summary
The Project Manager, Program Management - SAP S/4HANA Business Transformation, supports a multi-year, enterprise SAP S/4HANA business transformation by coordinating a portfolio of initiatives across Business Owners, SAP/IT teams, and third-party partners. This role focuses on end-to-end Finance capabilities which includes General Accounting (Core R2R), AP, AR, Product Costing, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Consolidations.
Essential Duties
- Maintain the transformation portfolio plan, spanning Business readiness projects and SAP activities including initiative sequencing, dependencies, milestones, and key risks with specific focus on Finance and cross-process dependencies.
- Support intake, prioritization, and scope governance aligned to transformation strategy and value drivers.
- Ensure initiatives comply with defined governance, stage gates, and decision frameworks.
- Prepare executive-ready materials for Steering Committees and portfolio reviews.
- Partner with Business Owners and Enterprise Process Owners to clarify objectives, scope, success measures, and decision ownership across the Finance business processes.
- Build EPO and business participation plans with EPOs, Deployment, Change and Training Lead.
- Track business participation commitments and identify capacity or engagement risks.
- Support cross-functional alignment when priorities or dependencies conflict.
- Work closely with SAP, Data and IT teams to align business priorities with technical delivery plans and release sequencing.
- Provide visibility into SAP delivery progress, risks, and dependencies impacting business readiness.
- Ensure integration across process, data, reporting, and technology considerations at the portfolio level.
- Carefully coordinate with System Integrators and third-party partners to ensure alignment to the Finance portfolio priorities and program governance standards.
- Track high-level partner deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
- Support issue escalation and reinforce expectations for quality, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate enterprise-level business readiness activities, including readiness baselining, planning, milestone tracking, and participation in design, testing, and training.
- Partner with Data, Change, Training, and Communications leads to align readiness activities across initiatives.
- Identify and escalate readiness risks related to timing, capacity, or adoption.
- Maintain a portfolio-level view of risks, issues, and cross-initiative dependencies.
- Support tracking of business benefits, KPIs, and value realization.
- Shift reporting from task completion to business capability and outcome visibility.

- Bachelor's degree required;
- 8+ years project/program management experience, including 3-5 years supporting SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA) transformations with focus on Finance;
- Experience working with business leaders, IT teams, and system integrators;
- A strong understanding of end-to-end business processes;
- Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and readiness risks;
- Direct experience supporting Finance business processes in an SAP environment;
- An understanding of the different perspectives within Finance i.e. R2R, FP&A, Tax and Treasury.
