SAP BPC / BW Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP BPC / BW Consultant for an immediate, 3 to 6-month onsite contract assignment based in Bangalore, India. This role is critical to our ongoing corporate merger project, focusing on integrating, mapping, and consolidating financial data landscapes from legacy systems into our SAP BW 7.4 and SAP BPC environments.

About the role

This is a 100% onsite contract role requiring an immediate starter who can collaborate face-to-face with our onsite finance and IT teams to ensure data integrity during this critical transition.

Responsibilities

Merger Integration & BW 7.4 Data Modeling

• Design and execute data migration strategies to bring legacy entity data into SAP BW 7.4.
• Maintain and optimize InfoCubes, DataStore Objects (DSOs), and MultiProviders to support the newly merged structure.
• Develop and debug complex ABAP routines (Start, End, and Expert routines) to handle data transformation and historical data alignment.
• Build and troubleshoot SAP BW Process Chains to handle newly integrated, high-volume data feeds.

BPC Configuration & Financial Consolidation

• Modify and scale existing BPC environments, models, and dimensions to accommodate new company codes, cost centers, and charts of accounts.
• Write and tune Script Logic and custom BAdIs to support complex financial planning, forecasting, and consolidated reporting for the merged entity.
• Configure Business Process Flows (BPFs) and work status parameters to govern post-merger planning cycles.
• Update and design dynamic input schedules and finance reports using EPM Add-In functions to reflect combined business units.

Post-Merger Support & Local Collaboration

• Validate data accuracy between legacy financial systems and SAP BPC/BW to ensure zero data loss.
• Partner directly with the local corporate teams to capture rapidly evolving technical specifications.
• Execute rigorous data reconciliation, integration testing, and support users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Requirements

Experience & Availability

• Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience spanning both SAP BPC and SAP BW.
• Proven experience working on mergers, acquisitions, data migrations, or system integration projects.
• 100% onsite availability in Bangalore for the duration of the contract assignment.
• Deep understanding of corporate financial concepts, including chart of accounts mapping, intercompany elimination, and data consolidation.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in SAP BPC NetWeaver (version 10.0 or 10.1 Standard).
• Deep technical expertise in SAP BW 7.4 data warehousing architecture.
• Strong skills in ABAP programming specifically for BW transformations and BPC BAdIs.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VBA macros and EPM reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Immediate availability.
• SAP certifications in either BW or BPC.
