Sanitation Technician, Production (NS)

About the Role

Agilent, with locations in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, is a contract developer and manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients specializing in clinical-to-commercial scale production. This includes microbial fermentation, synthetic small molecules (such as ADC and HPAPI), plasmid DNA, mRNA, LNP, and sterile filling capabilities. We are seeking a Sanitation Technician for our Production team at our Windsor, NS location.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation and cleaning activities in production areas to ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support manufacturing operations.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sanitation, equipment cleaning, and waste disposal.
• Inspect and verify cleanliness of production equipment and facilities.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of environmental monitoring programs.
• Report any deviations, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
• Previous experience in sanitation, cleaning, or production within a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or food manufacturing preferred).
• Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, or other regulatory standards is an advantage.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
