Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production areas, including floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and sanitizers, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and report any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
- Maintain and operate sanitation equipment, including pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning tools.
- Ensure sanitation equipment is in good working condition and perform routine maintenance as required.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities, including checklists, logs, and reports.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or sanitation issues to the Sanitation Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately and take corrective action as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with production staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and ensure minimal disruption to production activities.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and other tasks as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in industrial cleaning or sanitation in a food production environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures.
- Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
