About the Role

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the daily disposal of trash at the resort at various facilities on and off property. Areas of knowledge and experience include general labor, garbage/trash removal, snow removal, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Lifting, transporting, and disposing of garbage in a safe, effective, and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Ensuring recyclables such as glass, paper, and plastic are properly separated.
  • Operate equipment and trash compactors on property effectively.
  • Works independently coordinating daily workflow in assigned locations across property.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.
  • Perform any combination of essential job functions related or unrelated as required or assigned by the Director of Engineering or designee, including but not limited to snow removal, rotating shifts, or other unrelated Engineering job functions.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff, students, and coworkers.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend duty.
  • Must be able to speak English.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as through recreational experience.
