About the role

A member of the Sanitation department, the Sanitation Technician supports all sanitation functions, executes tasks on the master sanitation schedule, and cleans equipment using CIP procedures. This role requires collaboration with operations, maintenance, and internal management.

This is an in-house temporary position aligned with a temp-to-hire process. While a permanent role may become available, conversion is not guaranteed and will depend on business needs, performance, and attendance. Benefits eligibility begins after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs equipment cleaning per-CIP Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
• Performs plant cleaning as outlined by the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.
• Disassembles and reassembles filters, screens, and other processing equipment.
• Handles and uses chemicals including acids, chlorines, caustics, and quats.
• Tests and records chemical concentrations.
• Conducts visual inspection of equipment.
• Performs absence of allergen analysis.
• Performs clean equipment swabbing.
• Complies with appropriate safety procedures.
• Maintains and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May perform other duties as required.
• Overtime and weekends may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience preferred within related fields.

Skills

• Self-motivated.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry-standard cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of HACCP and allergens.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with management and senior support personnel.
• Strong attention to detail for identifying areas needing cleaning and ensuring compliance.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with the team and reporting sanitation issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role, preferably in a manufacturing warehouse.

Pay

$21.00 per hour + shift differential.

Schedule

• 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday – Saturday.
• 3rd shift: 9:30 PM – 6:30 AM, Sunday – Friday.

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
