Full-time position located in Germantown, WI.

About the role

Reporting to the Sanitation Manager, the Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining master sanitation schedules and proper sanitation standards by performing duties according to SSOP and documenting all activities to ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. This includes following all GMP, safety, and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Safely follow all SSOP provided for tasks at hand.
  • Clean interior and exterior of the plant during all weather conditions.
  • Perform interior tasks including cleaning walls, floors, ceilings, air vents, lights, overhead piping, and exterior surfaces of equipment used in preparation, packaging, and transferring of product.
  • Perform emergency response activities including chemical and water spills, and tank cleaning.
  • Perform cleaning at elevations using ladders, scissor lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Remove trash in dumpster-style containers with forklifts and clean those containers.
  • Perform cleaning utilizing a COP tank.
  • Empty all trash cans, clean receptacles, and replace liners.
  • Clean the compactor shroud.
  • Maintain chemical cages in an organized and safe manner.
  • Maintain inventories and stock supplies.
  • Perform chemical titrations.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP principles, chemical usages, and application in a food environment to drive process improvements.
  • Participate in Gehl trainings, meetings, and team-building activities.
  • Document all completed tasks on a Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate and follow directions in English.
  • Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and in physically demanding environments.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of sanitation or cleaning experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of sanitation in a food processing plant.

Pay

Base pay: $20.00/hour.

Schedule

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
