Sanitation Technician

About the role

The Sanitation Technician position is responsible for maintaining the facility following written Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) for production to run product that meets all food safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to make sure that all equipment and areas are cleaned on a regular basis.
• Maintain the facility that is audit ready in a manner that meets all food safety requirements.
• Clean production equipment following established SSOP’s.
• Accurately and legibly maintain cleaning records.
• Ensure that all utensils, equipment, and areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
• Empty all trash and cardboard containers and dispose of properly.
• Maintain the facilities outside grounds for cleanliness.

• Follow All Company Policies.
• Good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Food safety management system policies and procedures.
• Sanitation procedures.
• Food safety management system policies and procedures to protect the Brand by providing extraordinary value through food safety and product quality.
• Safety policies and procedures.

Equipment Used

• Safety Glasses.
• Lockout/Tag out.
• Uniforms, Safety Shoes for Wet Environment.
• Basic use of Hand Tools.
• Cleaning Chemicals and Foaming Equipment.
• Water Hose (Working in a wet environment).
• Pressure Washer.

Shift

Shift: 1st shift, 2nd shift, and 3rd shift.

Skills/Work Experience Needed

• Possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Leadership Qualities / Works Independently / Self-Managed / Accountable and Responsible.
• Communicate Effectively with Co-workers.
• Read and Understand all Production Documents and SSOP’s in English.
• Mechanically Inclined.
• Knowledge of Windows Software (Excel, Word, etc).
• Knowledge of Kleanz Software preferred.
• Boom and Scissor lift experience.
