Sanitation Technician, 3rd Shift $22.55/hr.+*
Duties And Responsibilities
- Execute thorough cleaning and sanitation procedures according to company protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify sanitation issues or areas requiring maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and sanitation logs.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to address sanitation-related issues and promote a culture of cleanliness and food safety awareness.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in sanitation procedures.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous learning opportunities to stay updated on best practices in sanitation and hygiene.
- Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to coordinate sanitation activities with production schedules.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in food safety or sanitation preferred.
- Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
About the Role
The position requires the ability to stand; walk around office, warehouse, and plant; lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds; utilize fine dexterity; and reach, kneel, crawl, and twist on a daily basis. It involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness, and poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements like extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity is also expected.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in food safety or sanitation preferred. Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
