Primary Responsibilities
- Providing clear direction in the Wash Down Rooms.
- Identifying what equipment / electrical needs to be covered.
- Using and providing the proper color-coded tools to do the job.
- Reporting food safety and quality problems to authorized personnel who can act on.
- Knowledge of equipment needing detailed cleaning, taken apart and cleaned (especially in food contact areas) to prevent mold and bacterial build-up.
- Applying correct chemical dilution ratios to clean (trained in chemical safety a plus but will train right individual).
- Documenting tasks using the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Ensuring all sanitation materials/tools/chemicals are taken out of the area, put back in their proper place, and disposed of when the area is completed.
- Reporting to work on time. Overtime when necessary as well as weekend work.
- Covers for other Sanitation Techs in their absence.
- Conducting regular sanitation duties, including Custodial tasks, which will be provided by the Sanitation Department Lead on a daily basis.
Qualifications
- Ability to accurately log and record sanitation activities.
- Janitorial and Sanitation Knowledge.
- Computer skills a plus (Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-mail).
Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Standing on a concrete floor.
- Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
- Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Required to work weekends during peak season.
- Required to work mandatory overtime when needed.
