Sanitation Technician (2nd Shift)

About the role

Irca Group USA LLC is seeking 2 Sanitation Technicians for their 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 1:30 PM to 12:20 AM. Overtime is available on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure human and food safety, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, and maintain product quality.
• Replenish supplies, clean restrooms, mop floors, empty trash and replace liners.
• Perform chemical inventory reporting to Ecolab, if necessary, or assist with wash down inspections.
• Know and use appropriate cleaning chemicals, use chemical dispensing stations, and perform titrations and calculate concentrations.
• Remove debris from the warehouse and walkways, separate reusable scrap, load onto trailers, bale cardboard and plastic for recycling.
• Clean floors using mop and bucket, walk behind or riding floor scrubber, clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, dust furniture and equipment, polish metalwork, wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, wash windows, door panels, and sills.
• Replenish bathroom supplies, replace light bulbs, perform grounds maintenance in all seasons, including removing snow, trash, or spillage from plant grounds.
• Perform all other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Appropriate English language ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and compute basic math.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Regular exposure to extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and noise levels.
