About the role
The Sanitation Tech is responsible for keeping buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and complete sanitation functions ensuring environmental procedures are followed
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to sanitation
- Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment
- Perform daily concentration checks on cleaning chemicals
- Perform daily hygiene checks
- Confer with management and production personnel on sanitation issues and recommend changes to improve sanitation standards
- Ensure cleaning activities do not pose contamination risks to products
- Follow proper waste removal practices
- Ensure dedicated cleaning tools are used in appropriate locations
- Adhere to all safety and GMP policies
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English language, written and spoken
- Ability to be a self-starter and perform without full-time supervision
- Teamwork-oriented
- Time management skills
- Must be responsible and self-managed
- Must have excellent follow-up and tracking skills
- Independent worker capable of planning and prioritizing workflow
- Strong attention to detail
Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience

Physical Requirements
- Exposure to heat and cold and internal temperature changes
- Exposure to outside working environments
- Focus on a physical task for a prolonged period without losing edge
- Working in an agricultural environment
- Able to work 10 to 20 feet off the ground using ladders
- Manual dexterity to reach/handle items, work with fingers
- Able to lift and carry fifty pounds unaided on a regular basis
- Able to sit for extended periods of time depending on position and/or getting up and down through work shift
