Reports To: Quality Assurance & Sanitation Manager
Essential Functions
- Supervise sanitary operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures
- Ensure complete sanitation of production equipment and the environment in accordance with the established Sanitation policies and SOPs.
- Responsible for maintaining safety policies and GMPs throughout the facility.
- Schedule, train, coach, and conduct performance reviews for Sanitation Technicians
- Review/Create/Revise Sanitation Policies and SOPs for continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Schedule and conduct shift meetings
- Proactively identify areas for improvement for plant sanitation
- Conduct or delegate verification steps of Sanitation SOPs
- Promote safety, and enforce all company policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
Working Conditions/Physical Factors
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Worker may be exposed to a loud working environment.
- Worker may be exposed to hazards in the work place such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current
- Must be able to work in environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.)
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally required to use hands and fingers
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to taste and smell
- Frequently required to lift/push/pull/carry weight up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
