Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Makes appropriate recommendations to management.
- Responsible for implementing and auditing in-plant quality programs including, but not limited to: GMPs, HACCP, weight control, master sanitation schedule, pest control, Appendix N, and sanitation.
- Makes recommendations for improvement.
- Assists in complying with regulatory requirements related to product safety and quality.
- Provides management and Corporate Quality Personnel with regular and complete reports on all matters pertaining to quality issues and standards.
- Works closely with vendors and customers on product quality reports and audits.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with all plant employees.
- Good technical understanding of manufactured dairy products.
- Ability to troubleshoot quality and sanitation issues in a manufacturing environment.
Education, Experience and Certifications
- B.S. in Dairy, Food Science, or Science related field preferred.
- 3 to 5 years combined experience in dairy quality control, sanitation and/or production.
- Understanding of computer driven process controls for a dairy manufacturing facility.
- PCQI certified; this is a certification that should be obtained if not possessed.
- PC literate.
