Sanitation Supervisor – 3rd Shift | Food Manufacturing

About the role

A well-established food manufacturer in the Chicago south suburbs is hiring an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to take ownership of third-shift sanitation operations. This is a floor-first role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a sanitation team on 3rd shift across a large food manufacturing facility
• Maintain compliance with all sanitation, food safety, and regulatory requirements
• Drive accountability and consistency across the shift through direct floor presence and active team engagement
• Cookordination sanitation schedules, chemical usage, and equipment cleaning protocols
• Partner with production and quality teams to ensure sanitation standards are met without disrupting output
• Train, coach, and develop team members on proper procedures and safety standards
• Document sanitation activity and maintain accurate compliance records

Requirements

• BS/BA/AAS or equivalent of 7+ years of sanitation leadership experience; HS/GED required
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Food manufacturing sanitation experience required
• Hands-on leadership style with genuine comfort working on the production floor
• Availability and willingness to work 3rd shift consistently
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team with clarity and accountability

Pay

$95,000–$110,000 annually
