About the role
At Ferraro Foods, our Sanitation & Maintenance Technicians help keep our operations clean, safe, and running smoothly. From maintaining sanitation standards to supporting facility upkeep and preventative maintenance, this role plays a critical part in food safety, compliance, and day-to-day warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of warehouse floors, racks, equipment, offices, break rooms, and restrooms
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules to support food safety and SQF compliance
- Maintain sanitation logs, records, and documentation
- Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning and sanitation equipment
- Aid with minor building repairs and general facility maintenance
- Support preventative maintenance programs for warehouse equipment and facility systems
- Cook up and monitor work performed by outside vendors and contractors
- Respond to facility maintenance needs and assist with after-hours emergencies when required
- Identify maintenance issues, safety concerns, and opportunities for facility improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and hand tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, or scissor lifts is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical work including bending, climbing, lifting, and working in a warehouse environment
Qualifications
