Sanitation Lead - 3rd Shift - Green Forest, AR
Job Description
The Lead Person provides directions for the sanitation crew within a certain area of the plant. This position is trained in multiple jobs, can assist the training team members, and provide support as requested by the supervisor in that area.
- Work cooperatively with management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
- Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant.
- Meet with the Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled and addressed, including missing or damaged parts and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant.
- Ensure team members in assigned area are completing job tasks to QA and USDA standards.
- Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections.
- Handle chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits.
- Monitor and provide personal protective equipment ('PPE').
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Leadership and decision making skills are required.
- 6 or more months of experience in sanitation and/or food processing industry.
- Able to take direction and instruction from manager and be accountable for own actions.
- Safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Able to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.
