Sanitation Associate

About the role

This warehouse position involves unloading products from trucks, breaking down pallets, and organizing items into appropriate storage areas. The role includes assisting with sanitation, inventory control, and may require fueling, washing, or cleaning semi-trucks/trailers based on the distribution center's needs. Additionally, responsibilities include checking for product damage, verifying quantities, and assisting with order selection, palletizing, and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, break down pallets, and organize products for storage.
• Handle cases, boxes, bags, and pallets of various grocery and food products.
• Assist with warehouse sanitation, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Operate industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and high-lift trucks.
• Verify product quality and quantities, report issues, and manage product rotation.
• Lift up to 75 lbs. safely and work in multi-temperature environments.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse experience and equipment operation skills preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift heavy loads, and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, with the ability to interpret instructions.
• Strong safety awareness, ability to work under pressure, and adapt to changing work requirements.
• Must frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach.
• Work environment may involve moderate to high noise, temperature fluctuations, and exposure to warehouse conditions.
