Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble processing equipment without causing damage.
- Visually inspect equipment and processing areas for cleanliness.
- Work as part of a team to clean and sanitize the plant quickly.
- Complete required paperwork in a legible and accurate manner.
- Work around processing equipment using chemicals for sanitation.
- Perform additional tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
- Comply with USDA, SQF, DDA, OSHA, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and facilities.
- Move and assemble heavy equipment.
- Empty trash bins and operate a trash compactor.
- Clean other areas such as break rooms, restrooms, QA, and offices.
- Perform additional duties as required by the supervisor.
Knowledge/Skills Required
- Able to read and write legibly.
- Follow instructions and work with little or no direct supervision.
- Have basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Completion of a pre-employment assessment.
- Able to work under USDA, SQF, DDA, OSHA, state, and local regulations.
- Able to work at or from heights and in confined/tight spaces.
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 30 to 40 lbs. frequently.

- Safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Hazard Communication (HAZCOM).
- Safe Data Sheets (SDS’s).
Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, squatting, bending, reaching above shoulders, grasping, and manipulating objects.
- Must be able to work at or from heights and in confined/tight spaces.
- Weight requirement includes frequent lifting of 30 to 40 lbs. and occasional lifts of 75 to 100 lbs. with assistance.
