About the Role
The Sanitation Worker is responsible for the cleanliness of Shipping and Production areas and maintenance of Plant grounds. This role requires proper use of various chemicals and cleaning agents, as well as specialized cleaning equipment, following all safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Appropriately utilize assigned cleaning equipment and chemicals, including power scrubbers and foamers, to clean and sanitize general areas within the Plant facility.
- Operate electric pallet jacks.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties including washing walls, ceilings, floors, drains, pipes, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Clean spills within processing facility, warehouse, and storage areas.
- Wash the outside of all machines, equipment, and tanks.
- Stock and maintain designated areas with supplies; fill dispensers as needed.
- Remove trash/recycling, debris, and obstructions to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the Plant.
- Monitor for potential hazards and notify supervisor or manager of any deficiencies or issues.
- Safely and quickly work to eliminate any occurrences as directed by leadership.
- Follow GMPs and all safety and health policies and regulations; wear proper PPE.
- Assist with special projects and complete other duties as assigned.
- Perform basic math skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
