Sanitation - 1st Shift

About the role

The Shift Worker at Maola® is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the plant grounds. This position requires the use of various cleaning equipment and chemicals, as well as specialized cleaning tools.

Responsibilities

• Utilize assigned cleaning equipment and chemicals to clean and sanitize general areas within the plant facility.
• Operate electric pallet jacks and bailing machines.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties including washing walls, ceilings, floors, drains, pipes, production equipment, and other areas assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of all machines, equipment, tanks, and assigned areas.
• Stock and maintain designated areas with supplies; fill dispensers as needed.
• Remove trash, recycling, debris, and obstructions to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the plant.
• Monitor for potential hazards and notify supervisors or managers of any deficiencies or issues as they arise.
• Safely and quickly work to eliminate any occurrences as directed by leadership.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety and health policies and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• May assist with special projects and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Basic math skills.
