Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting equipment to remove coatings, rust, scale, and contaminants while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
- Prepare parts for welding, machining, painting, or assembly.
- Inspect parts before and after blasting for quality and defects.
- Maintain blasting equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
- Follow aerospace specifications, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Safely operate forklifts, hoists, hand tools, and power tools as required.
- Keep work areas clean and organized following 6S and safety practices.
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist fabrication, assembly, and production teams as needed.
- Comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience operating sandblasting or abrasive blasting equipment.
- Ability to read work orders and follow detailed instructions.
- Knowledge of shop safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mathematical skills.

- Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast-paced environment, Able to work varied shifts, overtime and weekends when necessary, Able to work with management team to help drive performance of location.

Physical Demands
- Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- See, talk, hear, touch, feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently walk & stand for short periods of time.
- Lift and move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
