About the Role

As a Production Representative, you'll provide customers with fresh, made-in-store product such as salads, sandwiches, and pizzas, while maintaining department and food safety/sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, slices, dices, chops, and preps food for recipe preparation in accordance with recipe specifications and SOPs.
• Packages, labels, stocks, and rotates made-in-store products.
• Completes tasks at assigned workstation and assists in multiple food preparation areas, including technical areas and catering orders.
• Complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and temperature integrity of ingredients, product, and equipment.
• Maintains sanitation in food preparation areas and properly operates and maintains equipment.
• Provides internal customer service and assists customers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned and collaborates as a team member to ensure a safe, clean, and productive operation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in food preparation and equipment is preferred.
• Culinary knowledge and understanding of nutritional values and ingredients.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to execute high-volume production in a fast-paced environment.
• Open availability to accommodate rotating shifts, including frequent evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Culinary certification or equivalent combination of culinary training/work experience is preferred.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Constantly stand, walk, reach at waist, and grasp for 5.5+ hours per 8-hour day.
• Frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic materials (2.5–5.5 hours per 8-hour day).
• Occasionally walk, reach overhead/shoulder/knee/floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, and perform fine motor movements (0–2.5 hours per 8-hour day).
• Occasionally exposed to wet, cold, heat, ambient temperatures, and loud noise.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs independently and manage in excess of 80 lbs with a team lift.
• Work extended hours and/or rotating schedules in a fast-paced, retail environment.

Partners must never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy, they must break it down or ask for assistance.
