About the Role

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Manager to join our growing team. As a Senior Manager, you’ll partner with clients to manage risk associated with their use of technology, develop strategies to solve complex business problems, and devise solutions using analytics, automation, and the latest tools. You’ll build lasting client relationships, mentor teams, and serve as a Protiviti ambassador in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in implementing IT audit methodologies and developing audit deliverables (process flows, work programs, reports, control summaries).
  • Assess and advise on technology-related risks, including IT Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), cybersecurity, cloud assurance, AI/data governance, data privacy, and emerging technologies.
  • Incorporate analytics, AI, and automation into audit work to enable deeper, more efficient risk analysis.
  • Mentor and develop teams, fostering open communication and a positive culture.
  • Contribute to client proposals and business development strategies.
  • Translate technical topics and audit issues for executive stakeholders.
  • Stay current on trends in data, technology, and risk management (e.g., cybersecurity, cloud, enterprise applications, disaster recovery).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technology audit, consulting, assurance services, or risk/control programs (professional services or industry).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Vision/Access secondary) and analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, RPA).
  • Familiarity with internal control frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL).
  • Leadership experience, including team supervision, performance appraisals, and project management.
  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications (CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar).
  • Experience with enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Passion for leveraging AI/ML to enhance audit activities (planning, fieldwork, reporting).

Work Environment

Protiviti uses a hybrid model combining in-person and remote work. In-person requirements vary by client/project and may include local or out-of-state travel. The role is based in San Francisco, CA.

Pay

Starting salary range: $125,000–$200,000 (placement dependent on experience, skills, and location). Annual bonus target: 14% of base salary. Estimated total cash range: $142,500–$228,000.
