About the role
The Technology Audit & Advisory Manager role at Protiviti focuses on helping clients better manage risks associated with their use of technology, protecting and enhancing enterprise value. Key responsibilities include identifying areas of business and technology risk, advising clients on improving efficiency and performance, and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions.
- Develop lasting relationships with client personnel and deliver quality products.
- Foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market.
- Mentor, train, and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants to facilitate the successful completion of project work plans.
- Assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on different technology-related topics, including cybersecurity, cloud assurance, project risk advisory, technology risk management and assessment, IT general controls, AI and data governance, data privacy, technology regulations, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, systems development methodologies, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
- Commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
- Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
- A Passion For The latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
- Evaluating summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
- Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
- Leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
- 5+ years working in technology audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
- Secondary emphasis on PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions.
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar strongly preferred.

- Leverage AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork and reporting.
- Translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
- Establish and cultivate business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
- Lead and supervise teams, conduct performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understand how to motivate.

Pay
The starting salary range for this role is $114,000.00 - $182,000.00, with a total cash range estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity of 12%. Protiviti offers a competitive annual bonus plan and a variety of employee benefits.
Schedule
Protiviti practices a hybrid model combining working in person with a purpose and working remotely. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, team, and other business factors. Protiviti offers a flexible environment with up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year for new hires and up to 11 paid holidays annually.
