• Field Associate - Clean River / Special Removal Initiative (part-time)

  We are seeking a new team member! We are embarking on an exciting new project to remove sites in the riverbed that we have marked as "Special Removal Needed." This new team member will lead volunteers in removing this trash, some of which has been in the river for years, once and for all!

  The Clean River Program Field Intern conducts field surveys to quantify trash along the River, helps plan removal activities, and works with volunteers to clear trash.

• Copywriter/Editor Intern

  The Copy Writer/Editor Intern focuses on drafting, editing, writing blog articles, conducting interviews, and developing premium content consistent with the voice of the River Park Foundation. • Ecological Restoration and Monitoring Intern

  Assist with riparian and upland habitat restoration, research, and wildlife monitoring in the lower and upper sections of the San Diego River Watershed.

  You can help connect students with nature and create the next generation of River Stewards. Responsibilities include leading youth K–12 in education programs, working with teachers, and participating at community outreach events.

  This is a great position for interns interested in community science and leveraging digital tools for collecting and sharing data. Interns will work in the field to gather data using a special mapping app.

• RiverWatch Water Quality Program Intern

  The RiverWatch intern will maintain water quality equipment and databases as well as attend monthly monitoring outings. The collected information helps us to form, and publically share, a complete picture of the health of the San Diego River.

  Interns will assist with the development of a community-focused special event to celebrate our San Diego River and raise local awareness about SDRPF activities. Tasks include event planning, promotion, and coordination.

  This internship will involve a variety of tasks in helping care of our native plant gardens that are managed by our volunteer community. Most of the work for this position will be conducted in the field, with some independent tasks to be completed at home.
