About the Role
This position is within the Sample Prep Department on the 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 12:30 AM).
Responsibilities
- Understand and follow Quality System documents, including Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methodologies.
- Adhere to quality measures to meet ISO/IEC 17025, cGMP, GLP, and company requirements.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one core method and conduct additional assigned methods with minimal supervision.
- Operate basic lab equipment within the department.
- Set up and weigh sample batches accurately and efficiently.
- Perform timely and accurate sample analysis, including preparation, method application, and data reduction.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, test data, and results in logbooks or eLIMS.
- Identify samples requiring rechecks and report method/matrix/analytical difficulties with proposed solutions.
- Maintain clean glassware and prepare solutions for daily testing.
- Ensure proprietary methodologies are not disclosed without written approval.
- Respond to client, staff, and co-worker queries and needs promptly.
- Stay current on technical, industry, and business advancements.
- Recommend improvements for laboratory equipment or procedures.
- Foster cooperative working relationships with all employees through clear oral and written communication.
- Promote the company’s image through ethical business practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and a responsive, independent problem-solving approach.
- Associate degree or high school diploma with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
