Same Day Family Medicine Clinic- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Upper Front Street

About the role

We are seeking a board‑certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for the UHS Upper Front Street Medical Center Same‑Day Clinic. This is a busy, family‑medicine outpatient practice in a well‑established office, providing same‑day appointments and wellness visits for infants to adult patients. The position is 100% outpatient.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices.
• Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.
• Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments.
• Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
• Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number.
• Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License or Physician Assistant License.
• Documentation of current CPR certification (required within one week of hire and maintained during employment).
• Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• Possession of a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number.
