Salon Manager

About the role

Join a locally owned Great Clips® salon team as a Salon Manager. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll split time between cutting hair on the floor and handling administrative duties off the floor. You’ll make tips, lead and support a team, and help the salon run at its best.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of stylists
• Manage day-to-day salon operations and ensure smooth workflow
• Deliver haircuts and provide services to customers
• Train and develop stylists to grow their skills and confidence
• Use salon technology (scheduling systems, metrics, and reports) to streamline operations
• Foster a positive team culture and customer-focused environment

Requirements

• Valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
• Strong technical haircutting skills
• Proven leadership ability or readiness to take on full salon responsibility
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Comfort with technology and salon management tools
• Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on team performance and customer experience
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
