About the role
As the Salon Front of House, you will hold a vital position in the salon, setting a good example and prioritizing the company’s best interests. You will support the Salon Manager and ensure the smooth operation of the salon, including in their absence. The company is committed to training and developing the team, and adherence to company procedures is essential.
All employees are expected to:
- Arrive at the salon at least 15 minutes prior to your shift (30 minutes for keyholders).
- Notify the Salon Manager (or Area Manager, if you are a manager) by 7:15am if unable to attend work.
- Welcome, acknowledge, and make eye contact with every client in the salon.
- Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and a positive attitude toward clients and team members.
- Be customer-focused, proud of your work, and contribute positively to the team.
- Take pride in your appearance, reflecting the company’s high standards.
- Keep product knowledge up to date and attend regular training sessions.
- Participate in promotional events to raise the profile of the business.
- Follow and maintain company health and safety procedures at all times.
Responsibilities
- Support the Salon Manager to ensure the smooth running of the salon and operate fully in their absence.
- Lead by example with professionalism, punctuality, honesty, and efficiency.
- Understand and work toward salon targets and personal KPIs.
- Promote and oversee high-level customer service across the team.
- Maintain and implement health and safety procedures, including updates when the Salon Manager is absent.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all salon areas, including staff areas, storage, and offices.
- Collect and manage guest data in compliance with GDPR.
- Handle guest complaints fairly and maintain concise records.
- Assist with the induction of new team members.
- Attend regular team meetings.
- Maximize appointment bookings through effective diary management.
- Ensure all team members meet the salon’s presentation standards.
- Monitor team members’ timekeeping and report issues to the Salon Manager.
Pay
£22,000 per annum, plus an annual performance bonus of up to £3,000 if KPIs are met.
