Role Summary
The Nonprofit Practice Lead owns the strategic direction, delivery excellence, and commercial performance of Jax Consulting’s Salesforce Nonprofit practice. You’ll translate firm leadership priorities into effective team execution, lead and mentor the practice team, and serve as a senior client leader — building trusted relationships, architecting strategic solutions, and protecting client confidence across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic vision for the Salesforce Nonprofit practice, aligning firm initiatives with practice goals, championing organizational direction, and translating leadership priorities into effective team execution.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Salesforce consulting team, ensuring they are skilled, engaged, and growing in their careers.
- Hold the team accountable for adoption of strategic initiatives, new tools, processes, and ways of working — including AI-augmented delivery via Revecast Orchestrate.
- Ensure delivery excellence across the practice — successful project execution, effective resource utilization, technical quality, operational efficiency, and adoption of delivery tools and methodologies.
- Provide technical direction for Salesforce solutions, architecting on strategic and complex engagements and supporting the firm's architects.
- Guide practice-level commercial performance in partnership with Delivery, Sales, and Operations — including utilization, estimate quality, staffing leverage, schedule adherence, budget and profitability, and contribution to expansion and renewals.
- Serve as a senior client leader and key client contact: build trusted relationships, architect strategic solutions, participate in key escalations, protect client confidence during complex or high-risk engagements, and ensure client success and satisfaction across the practice portfolio.
- Support business development and pre-sales in partnership with sales and account teams — scoping solutions, estimating delivery, developing proposals/SOWs, and presenting solution visions to clients.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Salesforce implementation and solution architecture experience, with at least 4+ years architecting complex solutions for nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
- Leadership readiness with the depth of a senior architect — you may come from a practice, delivery, or people-leadership role, or be a senior architect who has informally led teams, mentored architects and consultants, and is ready to own delivery and commercial outcomes.
- Deep, expert-level expertise in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC/NPSP), with strong working knowledge of Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and CRM Analytics.
- Track record of architecting large-scale, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions, including multi-cloud and complex integration landscapes.
- Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector and its core processes — fundraising and donor management, program delivery, grants, and constituent engagement.
- Proven success as a senior client leader and trusted advisor, including owning escalations and high-risk engagements, with excellent communication and executive presence.
- Proven ability to translate technical solutions into mission and business value.
- Comfort working in AI-augmented delivery environments.
- Salesforce Architect-level certifications strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing Data Cloud or AI-driven solutions for nonprofit clients.
- Experience owning practice-level commercial metrics (utilization, margin, estimate quality, renewals, expansion).
- Experience supporting pre-sales, technical scoping, and SOW development.
- Familiarity with AppExchange solutions commonly used by nonprofits (e.g., Classy, Blackthorn, Fonteva).
- Established relationships within the Salesforce nonprofit ecosystem and partner network.
