Our client has a need for a Senior Salesforce Architect / Lead Developer who will maintain, enhance, and support existing Salesforce platform customizations and integrations, as well as design and deliver new solutions to meet evolving business needs. This role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, identifying process gaps and pain points, and translating them into scalable, high-quality technical solutions. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions on the Salesforce Platform, with a focus on Service Cloud and Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (emphasis on Licensing, Permitting, and Inspections (LPI)).
  • Work within Salesforce Government Cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, REST/SOAP APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Leverage advanced experience with Service Cloud and the Salesforce Platform.
  • Implement Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Git-based version control.
  • Execute data migration, large data volume (LDV) strategy, and performance optimization.
  • Utilize automation tools (Flow, Workflow, Process Builder) to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Integrate ETL/middleware tools and secure APIs.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Salesforce security architecture, including role hierarchy, sharing rules, and compliance frameworks.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architecture.
  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders, business leaders, and executive teams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Develop new Salesforce applications and customizations, enhance existing solutions, conduct testing, build prototypes, and prepare technical documentation and user manuals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience, including complex public sector implementations.
  • Proven ability to lead and make decisions in high-impact, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
