Responsibilities
Manage and optimize the core Salesforce engine, including Permission Sets/Groups, User Access Rules, Sharing Rules, and Profiles.
Own and evolve the declarative layer of Salesforce, including Flow automation, user access configuration, and UI customization.
Define and maintain platform-wide configuration standards to ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability of the Salesforce environment while ensuring all configurations adhere to established platform standards and best practices.
Establish and enforce naming conventions across permission sets, flows, automation, reports, and other metadata.
Design and manage a scalable access control model, leveraging Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups to align user access with functional roles.
Collaborate with the IT Systems Administration team to maintain, support, and capitalize on integrations between Salesforce and key tools (Slack Enterprise Grid, Google Workspace, DocuSign, RingCentral, Asana, etc.).
Partner with engineering and systems teams to ensure all configuration aligns with broader platform architecture and integration patterns.
Build and refine Flow automations, Service/Messaging routing, and Quick Actions to ensure Salesforce acts as a unified hub for all business communications.
Proactively identify and remediate configuration inconsistencies, redundant automation, and opportunities for simplification.
Partner with departmental stakeholders to refine Page Layouts and Lightning Pages, ensuring the interface is tailored to specific user-group workflows.
Maintain consistency across user experience components, including Lightning Pages, Page Layouts, and record-level interactions.
Helpdesk Leadership & Operational Oversight
Supervise the intake, routing, and resolution of all support tickets.
Lead the operational transition from Asana tasks to Salesforce Cases.
Gatekeeping & Triage: Validate reported issues to distinguish between training needs and system bugs. Manage the escalation path to the Platform Systems (engineering) team.
Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the Platform Support Engineer, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining accountability for ticket resolution.
Assuming Oversight: Work alongside the current Data Analyst & Support Supervisor to take on full oversight of the help desk function within an initial onboarding period.
Release Awareness & Production Approval Operational Gatekeeper & Readiness
Maintain a high-level awareness of all inbound changes.
Maintain awareness of upcoming system changes and ensure readiness from an operational and user adoption perspective.
Deployment Approval & Standards Review
Review changes for alignment with established configuration standards and user workflows.
Review and provide final operational approval for work items moving from staging to production to ensure they align with user training and business logic.
Change Management & Rollout Support
Carefully coordinate the internal communication of new features or system changes to ensure smooth adoption by the end-users.
Support the successful rollout of new features through coordination, communication, and validation of end-user experience.
Requirements
Required Experience & Certifications:
Minimum Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
Additional certifications (Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder) are a strong advantage.
Platform Expertise & Governance:
3+ years of Salesforce administration, including deep experience with Flow, Permission Set Groups, and complex sharing models.
Must possess a strong understanding of Salesforce configuration best practices, including permission model design, Flow governance, and metadata organization.
SaaS Stack Proficiency:
Proven experience managing or supporting Salesforce integrations with Slack Enterprise Grid, Google Workspace, DocuSign, Asana, and RingCentral.
Leadership:
1 year minimum in a help desk supervisor or lead role within a Salesforce-centric service organization.
Development & Release Collaboration:
Experience working in environments with established development and release processes, collaborating effectively with engineering teams.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise in Salesforce declarative automation and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of API-driven integrations and how they impact user workflows.
Ability to translate stakeholder "business needs" into "robust, secure solutions."
Preferred "Plus" Skills:
Agentic AI: Familiarity with Salesforce AI tools (Einstein/Agentforce) or experience utilizing AI to streamline support workflows.
Industry Context: Previous experience in the Vacation Rental Management (VRM), Hospitality, Property Management, or Real Estate space is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $105,000-$120,000

While this is a fully remote position, some travel is required for onsite team meetups. Up to 4 times per year.
