About the role
At Alarm Detection Systems (ADS), we're seeking a Sales Training Specialist to prepare new sales representatives for long-term success. This role involves delivering engaging training, providing field coaching, and serving as a trusted mentor.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging onboarding programs through classroom instruction, workshops, role-playing, field training, and ride-alongs.
- Provide individualized coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to new sales representatives throughout their onboarding experience.
- Conduct field observations to reinforce training concepts and improve sales performance.
- Lead prospecting and appointment-setting sessions.
- Execute the company's sales training curriculum while ensuring consistency across all new hires.
- Partner with the Sales Training Manager to identify development opportunities and continuously improve training programs.
- Assist in developing and updating training materials, job aids, and learning resources.
- Track trainee progress, completion milestones, and performance outcomes.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align training initiatives with business goals and sales objectives.
- Build strong working relationships with managers to ensure successful transitions into the field.
- Travel regularly to ADS offices and customer locations to provide coaching and support.
- Lead by example by demonstrating effective business-to-business sales techniques in a competitive marketplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more years of sales experience within the alarm or security industry is highly preferred.
- Two or more years of outside business-to-business sales experience is required.
- Experience training, coaching, mentoring, or onboarding sales professionals is highly preferred.
- Experience developing or delivering structured training programs is a plus.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Pay
$65,000 - $75,000 annually
Schedule
This position combines office-based work, classroom instruction, field coaching, and regular travel to ADS offices and customer locations. Essential functions require travel by motor vehicle.
