Sales Trainee

About the role

Join one of the nation’s largest and most respected electrical distributors since 1952. As a Sales Trainee, you will rotate through various positions within a wholesale distributor to gain a strong knowledge of operations. Responsibilities include handling customer requests, generating quotations, and building rapport with customers.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through receiving, shipping, counter sales, inside sales, and quotations
• Handle customer requests, questions, and needs in various support roles
• Provide specific product and service information under guidance from more experienced team members
• Generate quotations and enter orders for products offered by State Electric Supply
• Build rapport with customers to develop a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Basic PC skills
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail and record keeping
• Ability to prioritize and respond professionally to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints
• Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities
