Description of Work

This position serves as a lead worker for a shift and guides a team of clerks to support overall daily operations, provide top-notch customer service, and ensure smooth store workflow. Work includes collaborating with the FW&GS management team to achieve team goals. As a Sales Team Lead, you will perform the following duties:

  • Lead Daily Tasks: Assign and review work, provide on-the-job training to help less experienced staff understand and follow store procedures and policies
  • Sales and Customer Support: Help customers find products and resolve concerns promptly, ring up and complete sales, and ensure alcohol is only sold to customers who are legally permitted to buy it
  • Store Readiness: Keep the store clean and organized, assemble product displays, and promote a positive shopping environment
  • Inventory Support: Unload shipments, stock shelves, rotate inventory, and ensure safety when lifting products and using store equipment
  • Reporting and Records: Complete shift reports including accounting, inventory, and cash management
  • Support Collaboration: Work in a friendly, team-oriented environment where everyday brings new challenges and rewards

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Work Schedule: Free - Secure - Onsite Parking
Full-time employment.
Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of retail sales work.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements

You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.

Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
