Responsibilities

  • Aid in snow removal and snow clean up
  • Read and comprehend instructions and information, both written and oral
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid in-state driver’s license
  • Show excellent communication skills
  • Sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards
  • Assist in conducting self in a manner that guarantees customer satisfaction
  • Identify each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
  • Present new vehicles to customers, including test drives
  • Deliver new vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Develop and maintain a prospect development system to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Stay informed about new products, features, accessories, and their benefits to customers
  • Set and achieve personal income goals that align with dealership standards of productivity
  • Report to the New or Used Vehicle Sales Manager on objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses
  • Analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to improve time utilization and planning
  • Understand the terminology of the automobile business and stay updated on technological changes in the product
  • Be familiar with federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales
  • Introduce customers to Service Department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information, both written and oral
  • High School diploma or equivalent
