Sales Support Specialist

ECHO Incorporated is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to support day-to-day sales operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the sales team with general operations.
  • Cook up sales team activities by processing important documents and communicating relevant information.
  • Ensure the smooth sailing of new customer onboarding by gathering necessary info from cross-functional teams, tracking approvals, and making sure the customer is ready to go quickly.
  • Keep track of various programs and requirements to ensure they meet business and customer expectations.
  • Identify product information needs for customers and work cross-functionally to gather product data, comprehend product lifecycles, and ensure price changes and product specs/images are available for sales to share with customers.
  • Be the main point of contact for the sales team to research and resolve inquiries that need follow-up with customers or other departments.
  • Handle customer issues and provide after-sales support when asked.
  • Coordinate payment functions like customer discounts, rebates, or sales expense tracking. This includes creating/updating processing procedures, calculating rebate amounts, and requesting credits/debits to customers.
  • Track payment activities monthly and work with accounting on inquiries about credits/debits, accruals, and A/R reconciliations.
  • Provide reports as needed to monitor budget activity related to customer programs as well as sales expenses.
  • Participate in developing sales operations, attend sales meetings, and assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Meet regularly with Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service to ensure processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Partner with IT on implementation, system breaks/fixes, and testing as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by documenting processes and working cross-functionally to implement process changes as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior sales support or account management experience.
  • Intermediate Excel skills are required for this role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position that offers the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.
