Sales Support Engineer – Strategic National Account (Multi-Region Support)

This role supports a large national strategic account within the construction market by partnering with a National Account Manager and multiple regional Sales Engineers across the country.

About the role

The Sales Support Engineer will act as a central coordination point for account activity, driving consistency, responsiveness, and excellence across regions. This individual will coordinate key pre- and post-order activities ensuring seamless collaboration between sales, customers, and internal teams. This position reports to the Sales Support Manager with a dotted-line relationship to the Strategic National Accounts Director for day-to-day account alignment and prioritization.

Role Description

  • You’ll make an impact by:

    • National Account Support & Coordination

    • Core support for a strategic national account spanning multiple regions and sales stakeholders

    • Partner with a National Account Manager and multiple Sales Engineers to align priorities, project strategy, and customer engagement

    • Ensure consistency in support, communication, and execution across all regions supporting the account

  • Order Management & Execution Support

    • Preparation of submittals and technical documentation

    • Partner with local sales teams to ensure clean order handoff and accurate order entry inputs

    • Track and manage key milestones and deadlines throughout the project lifecycle

    • Support post-order activities including issue resolution, change orders, and customer follow-up

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Serve as a commercial liaison between customers, sales, factories, and internal teams

    • Collaborate with PMO and operations teams on project execution and delivery

    • Navigate internal resources effectively to drive responsiveness and resolution

  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

    • Drive consistency and best practices across a national, multi-seller environment

    • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in the sales support process

    • Maintain strong organization and prioritization across a high volume of projects and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience

    • 3–7+ years of experience in technical sales support, application engineering, or similar role

    • Experience supporting multiple stakeholders or accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in the electrical distribution, construction, or power distribution industry

    • Exposure to strategic or national account structures

    • Familiarity with quoting, submittals, and order execution processes

    • Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills

    • Ability to manage competing priorities across a multi-region sales organization

Pay and Schedule

$61,547.00 - $128,520.00
