About the role
The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the sales department, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced sales environment.
Responsibilities
- Contacts clients as needed regarding ad materials, pricing, billing or special upsell opportunities.
- Maintains ad copy, manages account base, and ensures high customer service.
- Collaborates with order entry, traffic, and layout teams to meet clients' advertising schedules.
- Calculates and communicates rate packages to clients and prospects.
- Assists Sales Manager with special projects, including production schedules, rate authorizations, and communications.
- Facilitates and processes sales presentations.
- Generates sales reports.
- Identifies and corrects billing errors or issues before the end of the month.
- Correctly inputs client billing adjustments within the same month as disputes are identified.
- Attends sales training and planning meetings.
- Researches and resolves account-related problems, providing satisfactory conclusions for customers.
- Handles daily general clerical tasks such as filing, answering phones, creating correspondence, and calculating rates to quote to customers.
- Arranges and distributes advertising materials and sales reports to appropriate areas in a timely manner.
- Provides exemplary customer assistance.
- Adheres to company policies and assigned standards of performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Generally 2+ years of experience in administrative or sales support or a related field preferred.
