Sales Assistant

About This Role

Carpet One Floor & Home is seeking a skilled Sales Assistant for their showroom. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with administrative experience to undertake various tasks.

What You'll Do

• Help salespeople with day-to-day tasks and provide support when needed
• Record and maintain accurate customer data, including orders and claims
• Develop relationships with customers and prospective clients to grow our customer base
• Participate in product selection for our showroom and stay up-to-date on our extensive flooring options
• Collaborate with the Manager to create tools and procedures that streamline our work processes
• Enter jobs and services into our computer system
• Process returns and assist with paperwork
• Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on customer requests and concerns
• Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and record retention
• Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management
• Aid in receiving payment and obtaining credit authorization
• Stay organized and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by working effectively with other employees

Requirements

• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as math skills
• Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality
• Time management skills for juggling multiple deadlines and deliveries
• Self-motivated and internally driven to excel
• A passion for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
