Sales Strategy & Execution - Tech Analyst, WWPS Shared Services Org
About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Shared Services Org (SSO) is seeking a Sales Strategy & Execution Analyst to help own data infrastructure, reporting, and systems integration for the Strategy, Execution, and TechOps team within Strategic Pursuits. This role is the technical execution engine behind the organization's forecasting, pipeline reporting, and analytics - building and maintaining the SQL queries, Quick tools, and data pipelines that leadership relies on to manage the business. You will work hands-on across multiple platforms (AWSentral, Pursuit Hub, AWS Insights, Quick, Amarna) to deliver unified reporting views and reduce the team's reliance on external engineering resources for day-to-day analytics needs. You will own some workstreams end-to-end and support others led by senior team members - contributing technical depth to platform strategy, product roadmaps, and cross-organizational initiatives where your data and integration expertise accelerates the team's impact. Everything this team builds is in service of a business outcome - you must think strategically about what to build and why, ensuring every solution adds measurable value rather than technical complexity for its own sake. The ideal candidate is equal parts builder, operator, and optimizer; someone who writes SQL, develops dashboards, and connects systems - with enough business context to understand what the data means and how it drives decisions.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain SQL queries and data models supporting SP and SSO forecasting workflows
- Own recurring pipeline health reporting for MBR, QBR, and leadership review cadences
- Identify and resolve data quality issues across pursuit tracking systems; develop automated solutions that reduce manual effort
- Build and maintain Quick dashboards for pipeline tracking, pursuit performance, and operational metrics
- Create self-service reporting views so stakeholders can access key metrics without ad hoc requests
- Connect and reconcile data across AWSentral, Amarna, and Pursuit Hub into unified reporting views
- Partner with platform owners to understand data schemas, APIs, and integration points
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BRDs
- Scope level-of-effort estimates for reporting enhancements and integration work
- Provide fact-based analytical inputs that inform strategic planning and go-to-market efforts
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment
- Experience in the public sector
- Experience in cloud computing, public sector, or government contracting environments
