This role provides critical oversight for the government sales and account management teams, facilitating the compliant pursuit, acquisition, and fulfillment of federal government orders.

Requirements

  • Leverage technical expertise in FAR, DFARS, and supplemental agency regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at every touchpoint - from initial quotation and bid submission to sales order entry, fulfillment, and final invoicing.
  • Partner with government sales and account managers to assess opportunities, identify compliance risks, and support bid/no-bid decisions.
  • Interpret, administer, and ensure compliance of prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders in alignment with contractual terms and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze solicitations and contract clauses to ensure accurate representations, certifications, and required flowdowns.
  • Manage subcontracting activities, including issuance of compliant purchase orders with appropriate FAR/DFARS clauses and flowdowns.
  • Ensure accurate contract setup and maintenance within internal systems, including proper classification of contract types and regulatory attributes.
  • Coordinate with Legal on contract review, negotiation, and risk mitigation prior to execution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations; proactively communicate changes and business impacts to stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing compliance oversight and guidance throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Administer contracts in both prime and subcontractor capacities, ensuring full compliance with customer requirements.
  • Support contract modifications, change management, and closeout processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Program Management to ensure contractual performance and compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support overall business objectives.

Experience & Skills

  • 3–5+ years of experience in U.S. government contracting, preferably within the defense industry base.
  • Demonstrated, working knowledge of FAR and DFARS, including a deep understanding of contract types, federal acquisition processes, and contract vehicles.
  • Strong technical proficiency in proposal compliance, contract administration, and subcontract management, including clause interpretation and mandatory flowdowns.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the proven ability to translate complex federal regulations and requirements into actionable instruction for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the discipline to manage multiple multi-stakeholder initiatives and high-priority bids in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) and modern ERP systems.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks, physical examination, drug screening, and E-Verify verification.

Education

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline is preferred; in the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in a U.S. government contract or procurement role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement.
