About the role

ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in door opening solutions dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and accessible building environment. This role is available on our ASSA ABLOY sales team, aimed at individuals passionate about servicing customers in healthcare, school, university, military, and commercial building settings.

Responsibilities

  • Call on Facility Managers, Security Directors, IT Directors, and Construction and Planning Departments within an end user account.
  • Partner with local selling partners including wholesalers, integrators, locksmiths, and distributors to maximize positive impact with end user accounts.
  • Sell opening solutions using a communication approach that can be effective with a diverse audience.
  • Apply discovery abilities including prospecting, profiling, qualifying, identifying client needs, and presenting solutions.

Requirements

  • College/University degree (preference for related curricula such as architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar).
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of sales experience, with building material or construction-related experience preferred.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, organized individual who takes pride in attention to details and accuracy in their work.
  • Multi-tasker who can manage time and projects proficiently.
  • Strong communicator, active listener, and negotiator.
  • Ability to read, understand specifications/facility standards, and have industry-related technical and sales aptitude.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
