About the role

Sales Representative, Architectural

Location: Denver, CO/Bozeman, MT

What you will be doing:

  • Identify key architectural, design, and engineering firms that work on institutional project types tied to our core vertical markets including Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 Education, and Government markets.
  • Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
  • Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
  • Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
  • Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
  • Auxiliary tasks include assisting with product substitution and approval procedures and following up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking, and time management tool.

Key areas you will contribute to in this role include:

  • Architectural development and project tracking.
  • Preparation of Division 08 door and hardware specification documents.
  • Promotion of the Openings Studio BIM tool.
  • Presentation of project proposals for value-added professional services.

  • The ability to read, understand specifications/facility standards, and have industry-related technical and sales aptitude.
  • Ability to travel within an assigned territory and meet the requirements of customers.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or while traveling.
  • The ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
  • The ability to visit, on occasion, factory assembly floors as part of customer experiences.
  • The ability to attend and participate in all-day, internal, collaborative sales meetings in a dynamic, open workspace.

Education and/or experience:

  • Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
  • At least 2-3 years’ industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management, will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.

Special considerations:

  • In-person, year-round travel to Montana will be required.

Pay Range:

$90K - $110K
