Sales Rep - BPD

Bunzl Processor Division is seeking a Field Sales Rep for the Bentonville, AR area to drive sales in bakery, produce, meat processing, industrial packaging, personal protection, safety equipment, sanitation, material handling, and other plant supply markets.

About the role

The Sales Rep will serve as a business development partner, build customer relationships, handle customer complaints and inquiries, manage Accounts Receivables, and communicate with internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Increase sales through greater penetration within existing accounts and prospecting new accounts
• Meet or exceed sales and margin goals
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure satisfaction
• Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts
• Work with manufacturers' representatives to sell promoted items
• Attend sales meetings and meet with Sales Manager regularly
• Communicate and cooperate productively with all departments
• Utilize VIP (Dimensions of Professional Selling) techniques and methodologies

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Professional Selling, Marketing, or Business preferred
• Practical sales experience in at least one of the following: food/meat processing, industrial processing, plant operating supplies, personal protection equipment, or related safety items
• Previous experience in paper, packaging, janitorial/sanitation, or food service distribution industry is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work in a team setting with diverse groups
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experience with IBM I-Series/AS400 operating system highly desired
• Significant travel required, sometimes with overnight stays
