About the Role
Southern Glazer’s is an industry leader in wine and spirits distribution, known for its outstanding workplace culture and comprehensive benefits. As a Sales Relief Representative, you'll cover sales routes for absent Sales Representatives, assist in growing the company portfolio, and engage consumers through various retail account activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide coverage of Sales Routes for the purpose of order taking and execution in the absence of Sales Representative (e.g. vacation, sick calls, etc.).
- Participate in Team Sell Programs to increase visibility and drive sales objectives for the assigned team.
- Build and properly merchandise portfolio product displays.
- Manage retailer product locations, maintain a clean and organized back room.
- Identify placement opportunities.
- Execute delivery functions when deemed necessary.
- Continually expand upon product knowledge of our portfolio.
- Know competition brands and how to sell against them.

- Minimum Qualifications: Broad knowledge and experience in sales and company objectives; above average oral and written communications skills; effective presentation skills; above average interpersonal and coaching skills; excellent computer skills in all sales programs; excellent organizational skills; enthusiastic, team player interested in positive company growth; clean, valid NYS Driver’s License; Associate’s degree or equivalent in General Studies, Business or Marketing; minimum of some college course work completed; minimum of 1 year of sales or applicable experience.
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.

Pay
This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately. Expected first year total earnings between $49000 - $50000 / year plus auto allowance/reimbursement.
