About the role

ARDEX Americas, part of the global ARDEX Group, is seeking a field-based SALES PROFESSIONAL to join their New York Metro team. The ideal candidate will combine a customer-first mindset with strong relationship-building skills and a passion for helping customers solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales of ARDEX and HENRY products throughout your territory
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and jobsite activity
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans and growth strategies
  • Utilize CRM tools to track activities, opportunities, and customer engagement
  • Build strong customer partnerships with distributors, contractors, architects, designers, and other industry influencers
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and responsiveness throughout the sales process
  • Provide technical expertise through product demonstrations, contractor clinics, and educational training programs
  • Support contractors on jobsites with product recommendations and technical guidance
  • Drive product specification activity within the architectural and design community
  • Partner closely with technical, marketing, and customer support teams to provide complete customer solutions

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience
  • Proven success in outside sales within building materials, construction products, flooring, tiling, or related industries
  • Experience working with flooring or tile installation systems is preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply product systems in real-world applications
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, including training and demonstration experience
  • Practical problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a territory effectively
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, field-based sales environment
