About the Role
The Sales Professional is responsible for advancing and securing sales in an assigned territory using sales tools to grow market share and revenue. This role involves securing new account business and servicing existing accounts within an assigned market while meeting standards set by leadership.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales by following established procedures to promote and sell the organization’s products within an assigned geographic area, product range, or customer accounts to meet sales targets.
- Prepare daily for next-day calls to maximize sales and pursue leads.
- Personally visit existing and new customers to assess needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive professional and customer relationships.
- Manage territory and service obligations to meet revenue targets.
- Develop sales skills and product knowledge by working closely with managers, suppliers, and experienced sales professionals.
- Merchandise and rotate product in the market to uphold product standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license; must be 21 years of age.
- Must drive to multiple locations, maintain sufficient insurance, and comply with all traffic and motor vehicle laws.
- Beverage and consumer product sales experience preferred.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, preferred.
- Outgoing personality with strong self-direction.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and multitask.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and wide temperature variations.
- Flexible hours, including occasional weekends; mandatory work during the week before and during national holidays.
- Business casual dress code; closed-toe shoes suggested.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs., climb ladders safely, and maneuver floor jacks in large box stores.
- Able to rotate and build multi-case displays.
- While performing duties, the employee is required to stand, balance, walk, climb stairs, sit, use hands to handle objects/tools, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and have specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus).
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, with occasional weekends.
